In Micheal Gerber’s book, he talks about the three types of people in business the technician, the manager, and the entrepreneur. Each person should play a different role. The technician should be the worker doing the work of the business. For example, if you are a coffee company the technician would be the barista, the cashier, the janitor. The manager should not be doing the same work as technicians. They have a different role. They should be overseeing. Even though there are lots of levels of managers depending on how big your business is a manager, in general, should just be running the day to day business. You the business owner are the entrepreneur. They should not be doing the activities of a manager and for sure not the duties of a technician.
