How to Get Your Customers to Feel safe when you reopen your business

Put together your plan of action

The first step in reopening / getting customers back is to establish your plan of action. Look at all the new regulations and figure out things like:

  • How can my customer’s social distance while shopping?
  • What is your plan if an employee or customer tests positive for COVID-19?
  • How will you sanitize your store?
  • Will you have special hours for people more at risk?

Be ready for change

Everything is rapidly evolving so companies are having to quickly change their policies to match new regulations. It is important you are able to adapt quickly to anything that happens. These changes can be expensive, make sure you have a plan of action in place if you have to make a big payment. 

Set your attitude

No matter what happens you want to make sure your business is still creating a friendly and inviting environment. Be confident in your safety protocols and your customers will be too. If you are unsure if your sanitation practices are keeping people safe, fix them. If your customers do not feel safe they will go to other businesses or just order online.
